To Our Patients and Community,

We are working hard to keep you and our team safe.  We are carefully monitoring the Coronavirus pandemic and making the appropriate changes to deliver safe healthcare to our patients. We have resumed "normal" office hours.  However, appointment slots have been reduced strategically to reduce traffic in the office and to avoid potential contact.  You may "check in" with the front desk from your car and we can call you when the doctor is ready to see you.  We ask that you wear a mask, scarf, or bandana, as we all must do our part to continue to "flatten the curve."  We are seeing all urgent patients: for pain, infection, injury, diabetics, and those with poor circulation. You may also choose to see the doctor by Telehealth for basic office visits as described below.

Telemedicine

Dr. Fox and Dr. LoBello will be available by appointment via telemedicine. This option allows us to consult with patients remotely via a computer, tablet, smartphone, or other devices that have both Internet access, camera, and microphone capabilities.

Telemedicine is a great option for patients who do not need direct care. We can:

  • Visually examine your foot and ankle.
  • Review any lab or biopsy results.
  • Conduct most types of follow-up appointments.
  • Provide treatment recommendations.
  • Discuss, review, change or renew medication.
  • Answer any questions you may have.

We looked for a telemedicine option that would provide as much convenience for our patients as possible, and believe we have found it with Doxy.me. We recently posted a blog about how this option works and what you would need for it, so please click below to read it over.  You may call the office to schedule a Telemedicine appointment.

However, if you have further questions or need help, please do not hesitate to call us!

Emergencies

If you have a situation that requires prompt, direct attention, please do not hesitate to call our office. For problems that can be handed in the office, it is a safer option than the Emergency Room or Urgent Care.  But when in doubt, you should call 911.

We will follow and exceed all CDC-recommended measures to create as safe an environment in our office as we can, including properly sanitizing all surfaces, maintaining distance whenever possible, and wearing personal protective equipment.

Providing you help at our office can avoid the need to visit a hospital. At this time, that is a benefit both for you and for the hospital staffs who are bravely enduring strain.

Recommendations for Preventing the Spread of COVID-19

Odds are likely you have heard these recommendations already, but they bear repeating. Everyday precautions that the CDC recommends for preventing the spread of coronavirus include:

  • Always wear a mask when in public.
  • Covering your coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then properly discarding the tissue in the trash.
  • Washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds, covering the entire surface area of your hands. If soap is not readily handy, use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol.
  • Avoid close contact with anyone who is sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth (aka your “T-zone”) with unwashed hands.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched. (Most any disinfectant will do.)
  • Stay current on your vaccinations.
  • Eat well, exercise, and do not neglect your mental health.

For more and updated information, please read the CDC page on COVID-19.

We Look Forward to Seeing You Again

Your health and safety has been, and always will be, our top priority. We understand that these are unique and uncertain times, and we are here with you through them.

When this passes (and it will pass), we look forward to seeing you directly again for all your standard foot and ankle needs. Nothing will make us happier.

Thank you to you all,
